Rural Exodus

In the heart of rural Prince Edward Island, a rusted tractor sits in what use to be the driveway of a family farm home. The vegetation has grown uncontested for over a decade. Farming, once the number one vocation on the Island, a land steeped in iron rich soil... perfect for growing. A generation of progress has industrialized and automated the profession, leading the cavalcade to city life and the promise of further education and skilled labour. It's not hard to imagine the sounds of the tractor roaring to life, children running through the fields, or the smell of fresh laundry on the line. Simpler times.
